The adventure of the trapped hand at Cora's Restaurant

I love Cora's restaurant.  I've only been to the south London location . . . so far.  It is a little pricey but I think it is worth every cent.  The food is always delicious, beautiful and plentiful.  A couple of weeks back we took our grandsons there as a treat.  Everything was great and we had a wonderful time.

And then it was time to pay the cheque and leave . . .

Have you ever noticed that strange things always seem to happen to me?

Yep, once again . . .

Hal and the boys were on the way to the front and I reached for the back of my chair to pick up my jacket.  Our server chose the identical moment to begin clearing the table.  My hand and my jacket were trapped beneath her ample bosom.  I tugged a couple of times, trying to break free.  I said excuse me a couple of times which she ignored.  Hal looked back and asked me if I was coming.  I replied that I would like to if I could get my hand free . . .

I have no idea how she could ignore me.  She must have been day dreaming . . . ???

When she finished gathering the dishes she straightened up and my hand and jacket were finally free.

I am still giggling about this today . . . why do odd things always seem to happen to me?
